Sweat dripped from Kyne's nose as Freytu's hot sun beat down on his face. He raised his hand to cover his eyes like a visor and stared at the the city's large, central temple.
"Temple of Aerius. Shouldn't be much longer until the other group gets there." He knelt down and dug through his bag. "History of The Keepers... Pencils... Ah, there it is." He stood back up, holding a small, cylindrical, metal device. His thumb flicked the top of it, opening a compartment with a button inside.
He looked around at the nearly empty streets then back up at the temple. "It appears I'm in range, and it appears to be the correct time."
His thumb lingered on the button as he watched the central temple sharply.
"Not yet, Kyne." A man's voice boomed.
Kyne's facial expression didn't change as a man walked up next to him. Tall, muscular, and eating a giant bowl of noodles, the fair skinned man's voice was filtered by strings of pasta. "You have to wait for me, brother."

The large dome that was the ceiling and roof of the temple's main room, shattered into pieces as fiery waves exploded above it.
"Yes!" Kyne and his brother sounded together.
Kyne stepped forward. "Let's make sure it worked, Vol."
Vol nodded and the two ran towards the temple.

All of you have been sent out to explore for one reason or another.
For Mia, it's been to use her powers, or anything she can, really, to help improve the state of her village.
For Bobby, it's to find either his father, his mother, or the people that were involved with taking one or both of them.
For Vargof, the black guild has been attacked by another group of unknown assailants. After fighting them off, he realizes some of his most useful and prized puppets have been destroyed. No longer having them, means he has to find new ones, suitable for combat, or find a way to repair the old ones.
And for Dillon, the wild card, it's just a place for him to go.
The city of Freytu, is heard by all of you on your travels as a place where miracles happen. The exact place where Vargof could get his favorite puppets fixed, where Mia might find a way to help her village, where Dillon can find whatever he's looking for and where Bobby might just find a clue to his parents whereabouts. On your way to the city, you all arrive in the recently-destroyed ruins of a small village. A few people are running around and one man is trapped under a burning building.
He happens to be the ferry-man who can take you to Freytu. You all arrive in the same entrance.
